I agree with Jason, it wasn't much of a "debate", however, anytime you can get people together in such open communications especially when it comes to important social issues which possibly can touch upon the effects of religions/myths on society, then possibly there will be new minds opened and chains removed so that people can freely think with sound science and logic

Thanks for the recap. Just a minor correction: There were 3 main sections to the debate. The first was – What about god… The second was – What about Christianity, or other religions… and the third was – What about Science.

I agree with your assessment that the moderator functioned far more as a host or mc, as you remarked, even though I have been guilty of referring to him as "the moderator" in some of my posts regarding this event on other web sites.

Great meeting you by the way, this was great fun but not much of a "debate."

Really good recap, I wish so much I was there. I saw a YouTube video of another debate the two did and I actually couldn't finish it because I found D'Souza pathetically intolerable. It looks like he hasn't changed much.

Nice summary of last night's debate! I enjoyed meeting you, talking to you and hearing your insights, along with the other skeptics, at Tailgaters after the event. Hopefully the debate will be posted to YouTube in the not too distant future so that we can give it a thorough review. Keep up the good work on this blog and thanks for giving me the URL last night.
