Actually, to be more correct, the mass of a kilogram is one kilogram. At the earth's surface, a kilogram's weight is 9.8 newtons. I know, because the standard conversion for weight is from the english pound to the metric kilogram, people use weight and mass interchangeably. I mostly wanted to point out that the day we reviewed this in high school physics was the day I was not stoned.

I actually never got stoned in high school but I thought that physics had too much math so I went with Anatomy and Physiology. Unfortunately I got it first period so I got to experience the joys of embalming fluids and cat entrails at 6:45 am.
