I hope they respond favorably. As a native plant advocate, I've seen my share of home owner association outrages, but letters like this can go a long way toward increasing people's acceptance. I had a roommate years ago who was alarmed that some of the woody plants at our house were losing their leaves in the fall because she'd been raised in a neighborhood whose home owners' association didn't allow the planting of anything deciduous. We've got to prevent that kind of ignorance of nature from continuing. That’s a wonderful response. I hope they respond favorably.
